Credentialed Background Investigator - Top Secret

Xcelerate Solutions is seeking experienced Background Investigators nationwide to support our IC customers in securing the trustworthiness and integrity of the United States Government's workforce by delivering high-quality National Security Background Investigations. Join our award-winning organization and collaborate with some of the most talented minds in the GovCon industry.

Location:

Currently sourcing nationwide. Preference given to candidates in Washington, DC, Arlington, VA, Rockville/Silver Spring, MD, Fairfax/Oakton, MD, Columbia, MD, Los Alamos/Santa Fe, NM, Dallas, TX, Austin, TX, Lawton, OK, San Antonio, TX, Huntsville, AL, Little Rock, AR, Mineral Springs, AR, Salt Lake City, UT, Denver, CO, Miami, FL, and Greenville, SC.

Secret Clearance:

Active Top Secret

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct face-to-face interviews with subjects, employers, associates, references, and review records to establish background, reputation, character, suitability, or qualifications.
2. Review records to resolve material issues or establish qualifications of the subject.
3. Document all findings and submit detailed reports within strict timelines.
4. Conduct investigations efficiently, ensuring quality and timeliness.
5. Support national security initiatives through dedicated program commitment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years of recent relevant work experience.
• Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and willingness to travel locally.
• Home office with high-speed internet and a cell phone; government-provided laptop and internet reimbursement.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of detailed report writing.
• Completion of the National Training Standards course.
• Must complete the New Hire Credential syllabus and pass the final exam with at least 80%.

Physical Demands:

Long periods of standing, walking, and typing are required, in addition to typical office work.
