OpportuLand is seeking a Middle Software Engineer to maintain data catalog and data-management services in a backend Java environment. You will investigate issues, reproduce defects, and fix production problems while ensuring reliability for current clients.

You will work with senior engineers and US-based leads, upgrade dependencies, and contribute tests; multithreading and JVM familiarity are essential for stability and performance in this distributed system.

Qualificações

• 1.5-3.5 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Java programming skills and knowledge of JVM tooling.
• Experience debugging production systems and diagnosing issues.
• Familiarity with multithreaded and asynchronous programming in Java.
• Comfort with a fast-moving environment and ownership of work.
• English at least B2+ for daily US-based collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Investigate, reproduce, and fix customer-reported issues in catalog/services.
• Diagnose production problems from logs, metrics, and dumps; collaborate with support.
• Address performance regressions and stability in distributed services.
• Upgrade dependencies and apply security patches; write regression tests.
• Participate in code reviews and follow release/hotfix processes.
• Track upstream fixes from Apache projects and communicate status to leads.
