Job summary

Affirm, Inc. is seeking an engineer to join the Information Security team. You will help build backend services powering registration, login, authorization, and account lifecycle across B2C and B2B experiences with strong security and reliability.

You’ll work with Okta, Auth0, and ForgeRock to connect identity capabilities to web, mobile, and partner applications, while mentoring and growing your skills through code reviews and production deployments.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python or Kotlin and backend API development.
• Experience with identity or CIAM platforms is a plus, not required.
• Solid understanding of APIs, data structures, databases, and version control.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship customer-facing authentication features including MFA and device binding.
• Develop backend services and APIs in Python or Kotlin for secure account access.
• Integrate with identity technologies for web, mobile, and partner apps.
• Follow SDLC processes with design, tests, reviews, and production deployment.
• Improve reliability using logs and metrics and collaborate with teams on security practices.
