Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain software applications and APIs using Java and Python, with emphasis on robust, scalable solutions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to implement RESTful services, integrate databases (SQL/NoSQL), and contribute to secure, cloud-enabled deployments on AWS/Azure, with opportunities to grow in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python and frameworks (Spring Boot, Flask, Django).
• Experience with API development tools and various API styles (REST, GraphQL, SOAP).
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable applications and APIs using Java and Python.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices with secure communication.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to define requirements and integrate components.
• Optimize performance and ensure security best practices in data handling and API authentication.
