Job summary

DoorDash, Inc. is seeking Backend Engineers to work on product and product platform teams. You’ll operate backend services, influence architecture, and collaborate cross-functionally to maximize business impact. The role is hybrid with in-office time and reports to an Engineering Manager.

You’ll develop large-scale web applications, refine backend tech stacks, and move toward a microservice architecture while addressing performance, reliability, and security at scale.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of backend experience with web services.
• Experience with REST, HTTP, and scalable architectures.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, release and run large-scale web applications.
• Define backend architecture and tech stack for a product area.
• Improve performance, reliability, scalability and security of backend systems.
• Help transition monolithic code to a microservice architecture.
• Tackle cutting-edge technical challenges to disrupt logistics.
