Expedia Group in Seattle is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to maintain and scale critical pricing applications. You will design, develop, test, and operate services with a focus on reliability, performance, and security, collaborating with product and design teams.

You will contribute to API design, data modeling, and system architecture while applying AI/ML concepts where appropriate in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience owning features or services end-to-end within a bounded scope.
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language and API design.
• Familiarity with AI-driven systems and AI/ML concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain services using core Expedia Group technologies.
• Contribute to API design and data modeling for scalable features.
• Collaborate with product, design, and partner teams to deliver incremental value.
• Own the operational quality of the services you build with monitoring, alerting, logging, and testing.
• Apply secure coding practices and participate in code reviews to improve quality.
• Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions in products.
