Job summary

Expedia Group seeks a Senior Software Developer for the GenAI Platform to design and evolve scalable AI services and multi‑agent infrastructure that power safe, observable GenAI capabilities across Expedia Group.

You will own delivery from design through production, collaborating with distributed teams to ensure reliability, security, and cost efficiency while advancing platform tooling for product and ML teams globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of backend experience with end‑to‑end ownership from design to deployment.
• Proficient in Python with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
• Experience in public or hybrid cloud environments (AWS preferred) and at least one data store technology (relational/NoSQL).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and GenAI tooling (LLM, embeddings, RAG).

Responsibilities

• Drive end‑to‑end system design, including low‑level design, API contracts, and data modeling.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and partner with use‑case teams to drive adoption of platform capabilities.
• Own delivery from design through implementation, release, and production operations with emphasis on testing, security, observability, and reliability metrics.
• Build reusable, extensible, self‑service platform capabilities with sensible defaults.
• Partner with AI Registry to define grading standards for AI assets and ensure quality and production readiness.
• Work with LLM Inference team on intelligent routing, model deployments, and fine‑tuning pipelines.
