Expedia Group is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer – ML Platform to join our global technology team in Seattle. You will design, build, and evolve scalable ML platform capabilities and partner with engineers to enable reliable feature engineering, model inference, and operational excellence.

You will translate complex platform requirements into maintainable designs, drive observability and performance improvements, and help scale AI/ML workflows across teams while balancing delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Ownership of complex services or multi-service components with design, delivery, and operations responsibility.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, coding, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable ml platform capabilities.
• Deliver high-quality software with sound engineering practices.
• Improve platform reliability, performance, and operational health.
• Partner with engineers and stakeholders to define approaches and adoption of shared ML infra.
• Apply technical judgment across services for long-term scalability and developer experience.
