Expedia Group is hiring a Senior Software Development Engineer for the AI Foundations team in Seattle. You will design, develop, and operate high-quality software powering agentic AI workflows across Expedia Group services.

You will lead architecture and data modeling, integrate AI/ML capabilities, and mentor engineers in modern software and AI practices. This role emphasizes reliability, observability, and collaboration across product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional software development with a Master's degree, or 8+ years with a Bachelor's degree.
• Proven ownership of end-to-end lifecycle of services or components including design, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language (Java, Kotlin, Python) and in system design, API design and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve scalable, resilient services powering AI capabilities.
• Lead system design, API design, and data modeling for complex services.
• Safely integrate AI/ML-enabled solutions with focus on quality and observability.
