Job summary

Amazon is seeking a back-end engineer to build the next generation of integrated development experiences for analysts, data engineers, and scientists on a new AWS service.

You will influence product features, drive system architecture, and spearhead best practices to deliver an impactful product, collaborating with UX, product managers, and other engineers across AWS. This role emphasizes scalable, multi-tiered backend systems in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience.
• 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with UX designers and product managers to develop friendly UI experiences.
• Work closely with other engineers to architect and develop the best technical design.
• Develop/maintain operational rigor for the frontend of a new AWS service.
• Own and deliver key features within a new interactive ML application
• Collaborate with other AWS SDEs for features that cut across AWS.
• Engage with customers and other AWS partners.
