Job summary

GitLab is seeking a backend-focused engineer to contribute to a Rust-first Knowledge Graph service that powers GitLab Duo agents and analytics. You will own components like SDLC indexing and query paths, driving reliability and maintainability through tests and runbooks.

Collaborating across teams, you will participate in code reviews and knowledge sharing to improve distributed data systems. A strong interest in AI-enabled development and graph modeling will help advance our engineering efforts.

Qualifications

• Production experience with backend systems, reliability, and incident response.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language with strong interest in Rust and distributed data systems.
• Interest in graph data modeling and using AI tools in day-to-day development.
