Ladders is seeking a Backend Engineer, Knowledge Graph (Rust) to join a leader in information technology. This remote role focuses on building and maintaining a Rust-based knowledge graph service that underpins the developer platform.

You will optimize integrations, improve reliability and scalability, and contribute to an AI-assisted development workflow. Collaboration across teams and thoughtful design decisions will shape the system while maintaining operational maturity of a data-oriented

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in backend systems development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in modern backend languages with a strong interest in Rust.
• Exposure to distributed data or analytics systems, or a desire to learn.
• Interest in graph data modeling and query patterns.
• Experience with AI tools in development workflows.
• Ability to learn new languages and frameworks as needed.
• Solid fundamentals in system design and trade-offs.

For our client, we are seeking a Backend Engineer, Knowledge Graph (Rust) to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This remote opportunity focuses on building and maintaining backend capabilities for a Rust-based knowledge graph service that supports the organization's broader developer platform. You will help strengthen integrations, improve reliability and scalability, and contribute to the operational maturity of a critical data-oriented system. The role also offers the chance to collaborate across teams, shape technical decisions, and apply AI-assisted development practices responsibly.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $115,200 - $162,000 annually
