Job summary

PowerPay is seeking a Backend Software Developer to scale our loan origination and servicing platforms. You will work with the existing engineering team and contribute to system design, APIs, and data flows.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Ruby on Rails, Python or NodeJS, SQL databases, and Docker in a fintech setting. This role is based in Wayne, PA with a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and at least one of Python or NodeJS.
• Experience with SQL databases and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement solutions.
• Create and maintain APIs and middleware to facilitate data flow between systems.
• Troubleshoot performance and security issues in integration processes.
• Design maintainable database schemas and data structures.
