Salesforce.com, inc. is seeking a backend engineer to own end‑to‑end features in the IDMC data integration platform. You will ship production‑grade Java services within a cloud‑native microservices setup, building data pipelines and APIs across cloud environments.

You will implement automated tests, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with senior engineers and product managers to drive robust, scalable solutions. A strong focus on problem solving and clear communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of full‑time software development experience in a product or enterprise environment, preferably focused on cloud‑native backend services.
• Core Java & Backend Mastery: Deep hands‑on experience with Java; production‑grade code.
• Cloud‑Native Architecture, APIs & Infrastructure: RESTful APIs, microservices, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Data Persistence & Query Optimization: Proficient SQL, RDBMS, and NoSQL experience.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker; basic Kubernetes familiarity.
• Distributed Systems Exposure: Spark or Kafka and data movement at scale.
• Testing & Code Quality: Automated tests with JUnit/TestNG; quality‑driven.
• DevOps Tooling & CI/CD: Git, CI/CD; Agile/Scrum practices.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and debugging.
• Communication: Clear written & verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Feature Ownership: Design, develop, test, and deploy features in IDMC's Data Integration platform; own from requirement to production.
• Backend Engineering & Quality Champion: Build high‑performance Java services in a cloud microservices architecture; ensure maintainability.
• Data Integration Work: Build pipelines, APIs, and workflows moving data across clouds.
• Testing Discipline: Implement automated tests; participate in code reviews.
• DevOps & Operational Excellence: Engage in CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
• Collaborative Engineering: Work with senior engineers, LMTS, and PMs to align with architecture.
• Technical Growth: Develop deep expertise in data movement, service performance, or AI‑assisted development.
