Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to build and lead the new Data team, owning the data layer end-to-end—models, pipelines, sync, and analytics. You’ll hire the rest of the team, set roadmaps, and raise data quality across the platform.

You will partner with senior leaders to drive enterprise data integrations, analytics infrastructure, and ensure operational excellence while bringing people leadership to the table.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering teams building data platforms and large-scale backends.
• Proven ability to hire, onboard, and ramp engineers.
• Deep knowledge of data systems: PostgreSQL, OLAP, CDC, ETL.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity with a clear charter and goals.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the Data team, set roadmaps and standards.
• Own data models, ETL pipelines, and Data APIs.
• Drive data architecture, quality, and reliability across the platform.
• Partner with leadership and product to align data priorities.
• Scale data integrations with Salesforce ecosystem.
