Job summary

Affirm's Batch Developer Experience team builds batch tooling to accelerate development and testing, partnering with product and infrastructure engineers to strengthen workflows and improve reliability for critical batch workloads.

As a developer on this team you will break down larger projects into tasks, collaborate across product management, design and analytics, support on-call efforts, and contribute to a culture of growth and code quality.

Qualifications

1.5+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience designing, building and launching backend systems; Python or Kotlin.
Familiar with distributed systems; AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
Ability to turn problems into multi-component solutions with well-tested code.
Strong debugging, code reviews, and navigating large codebases.
Proactive learner with growth mindset and collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Break down projects into tasks, deliver in phases, and ensure timely delivery.
Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics on ideation and trade-offs.
Maintain and monitor artifacts; support on-call efforts.
Contribute to team growth through interview participation.
