Affirm is seeking a Batch Developer Experience engineer to build tools that make batch development faster and more reliable. You will collaborate with product and infrastructure teams to streamline workflows and strengthen testing for critical batch workloads.

You will design and launch backend systems in Python or Kotlin, work across distributed components, review code, and own your growth in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems in Python or Kotlin.
• Familiar with distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes.
• Ability to write clear, well-tested and extensible code.

Responsibilities

• Break down large projects into tasks and deliver in phases.
• Collaborate with product, design and analytics to consider risks and trade-offs.
• Support operations and availability of team artifacts and on-call efforts.
