United States Digital Space LLC in San Francisco is seeking a Backend Software Engineer for the Ambassador Routing & Channels team. You will contribute to intelligent agent matching, routing, and scalable services powering millions of daily interactions.

You will collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science, and partner teams to align priorities, design robust architectures, and drive engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience in backend systems and service-oriented architectures.
• Expertise in scalable workflow design and flexible architecture for routing.
• Experience designing and iterating prompt engineering for AI/LLM-driven scenarios.
• Familiarity with RAG patterns, memory routing, and agent planning.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and lead engineering delivery on intelligent agent matching and routing programs.
• Own and evolve core routing infrastructure, ensuring high availability and scalability.
• Consolidate fragmented routing logic into a centralized, auditable system.
• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Data Science, and partner teams to deliver impact.
• Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence.
