Job summary

Aretum is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to provide expert technical support, maintain and enhance a client application within an Agile team. You will leverage Python, AWS, RESTful APIs, and databases to ensure performance, reliability, and seamless integration with TypeScript front-end components.

Remote position with occasional travel for project needs; candidates must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance and comply with CUI safeguarding requirements.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years backend development experience.
• Experience building backend web apps and APIs.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with agile development and version control.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to maintain the client application.
• Support development, enhancements, accessibility, integration, and maintenance.
• Ensure availability and correct operations.
• Work within a sprint-based development cycle.
• Utilize AWS, Python backend and TypeScript frontend knowledge.
