Job summary

ARETUM Holdings LLC seeks a Backend Developer to support a client application in an Agile, sprint-based environment. You will focus on Python backend, AWS, RESTful APIs, and data solutions, ensuring performance, availability and seamless integration with TypeScript frontend components.

Due to federal contracting, candidates may need to handle CUI and comply with safeguarding requirements. Remote work with occasional travel may be required as project needs dictate.

Qualifications

• 5 years of backend development experience.
• Bachelor's Degree (3 years of additional experience acceptable in lieu of a degree).
• Experience with modern software to prototype and deploy backend web apps.
• Experience with web languages (Ruby, Python) and frameworks (Django, Rails).
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Proficiency with scalable search technology.
• Ability to handle and scale large data sets.
• Experience using version control systems.
• Experience in agile teams and documenting developer concepts.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support to maintain the client application.
• Support development, enhancements, accessibility, integration, optimization, and maintenance.
• Ensure availability and correct operations.
• Work within a sprint-based development cycle.
• Utilize AWS cloud, Python backend and TypeScript frontend knowledge.
