Job summary

Burlington is seeking a Retail Stocking Team Supervisor to lead the Back of House operations, working closely with Store Management and directing the team. This role serves as a stepping-stone to management within our growing organization.

Ideal candidates bring at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail environment and can manage heavy merchandise, stand for long periods, and work nights, weekends, and holidays. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience within an off-price, big box, or a specialty environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a positive and engaging attitude.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required.
• Ability to move/lift store merchandise weighing 40 lbs. or more and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead merchandise progression: receiving deliveries, unloading and sorting cartons, processing merchandise, and flowing goods to the sales floor.
• Ensure back of house cleanliness, set-up and organization to standard.
• Reinforce asset protection strategies to reduce shrink.
• Promote safety for customers and associates by following company guidelines.
• Cultivate a diverse culture based on teamwork and collaboration.
• Direct associates and workload; drive productivity and merchandise protection.
• Coach associates in the moment and provide recognition.
• Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new associates.
• Participate in weekly workload planning meetings.
• Coordinate meal and break periods and monitor schedule adherence.
