Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a New Business Sales Representative to prospect and generate new commercial business. The role requires cold calling on commercial accounts over the phone and in the field to generate new contracted permanent commercial sales.

Responsibilities include identifying leads, assessing customer needs, delivering proposals, and closing sales while maintaining strong customer relationships and using the CRM SMS tools daily.

Qualifications

• 2+ years outside business-to-business sales experience preferred.
• Waste industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business.
• Determine customer needs and propose appropriate service solutions.
• Conduct cold call and prospecting activities to schedule first and follow-up appointments with decision makers.
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals to key decision makers to close the sale.
• Propose customer solutions compliant with local, state and federal regulations.
• Maintain positive customer relationships for first-year accounts and aim to grow/retain them.
• Use the CRM and SMS systems daily to schedule activities and develop customer profiles.
• Enter data to generate electronic sales orders in the SMS.
• Prepare and submit reporting and paperwork per company policy.
• Understand market behavior and competitive trends and respond accordingly.
• Attend meetings with management to review weekly sales activities and progress.
