Job summary

Diversified Employment Services is seeking a proactive Business Development Manager to accelerate growth across Metro Detroit and surrounding markets. You will identify and close staffing opportunities, build lasting client partnerships, and tailor workforce solutions for HR and operations leaders.

The role emphasizes hunter mentality, relationship building, and communication with executives. Travel across assigned territories is expected, with base salary plus uncapped commission and OTЕ

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of outside B2B sales or staffing sales experience.
• Experience selling into manufacturing, distribution, logistics or commercial sectors preferred.
• Proven prospecting, development and closing of new business.
• Excellent relationship-building, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities; self-motivated and independent.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities through cold calls, networking, referrals and events.
• Build relationships with HR, Plant/Operations, Safety, Purchasing and executives.
• Identify client challenges and design staffing/workforce solutions.
• Prepare proposals, negotiate agreements and close deals.
• Coordinate onboarding and ensure smooth transition to recruiting/ops teams.
• Maintain sales pipeline and CRM activity; represent company at events.
