Job summary

Hi-Line Inc. is seeking aCollections Specialist to join its Customer Success team in the Dallas area. This on-site role will independently manage a portfolio of B2B accounts and determine effective collection strategies to protect cash flow.

You will analyze accounts, negotiate payment plans, and collaborate across internal teams to resolve disputes and escalations while maintaining professional customer relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in B2B collections, accounts receivable, or credit.
• Ability to analyze financial data, assess risk, and make sound decisions within delegated authority.
• Experience negotiating payment commitments or arrangements.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a professional, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned portfolio of B2B accounts and determine collection strategies based on aging, payment history, customer circumstances, account risk, and business impact
• Analyze account information, establish collection priorities, and adjust follow-up plans when payment commitments or account conditions change
• Make and receive professional collection calls and communicate with customers through email and written correspondence
• Negotiate payment commitments and arrangements within established authority and determine when management approval is required
• Investigate and resolve invoice, pricing, payment, documentation, and account disputes in partnership with internal teams
• Evaluate accounts for collectability and recommend credit holds, revised payment terms, escalation, write-offs or third-party collection activity
• Identify higher-risk accounts and provide management with timely, well-supported recommendations
• Document customer communications, disputes, commitments, risk assessments and collection decisions clearly in the system
• Oversee invoice distribution, returned-mail research, customer contact updates and support for Special Cash accounts; suggest process improvements
