Job summary

Hi-Line, Inc., a privately held U.S. distributor of industrial aftermarket products and services, seeks a Collections Representative to join our Customer Success team in the Dallas/Farmers Branch area.

This full-time, on-site role independently manages a portfolio of business-to-business accounts from our corporate headquarters and national distribution center. Responsibilities include developing collection strategies, negotiating terms, resolving disputes, and coordinating with internal teams

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in business-to-business collections or accounts receivable.
• Ability to analyze financial data, assess risk, and make decisions within authority.
• Experience negotiating payment commitments and handling sensitive conversations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer-focused approach.
• Analytical, organized, with good documentation and follow-up skills.
• Experience with an ERP or AR system; distribution industry experience is a plus.
• Collaborative, solutions-oriented across departments.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned portfolio of B2B accounts and determine collection strategies.
• Analyze account information, set priorities, and adjust plans as payments change.
• Make and receive professional collection calls and email communications.
• Negotiate payment commitments and arrangements within authority.
• Investigate and resolve invoicing, pricing, payment, and disputes with internal teams.
• Assess collectability and advise on holds, terms, escalation, or write-offs.
• Identify high-risk accounts and provide timely recommendations to management.
• Document communications and decisions clearly in the system.
• Oversee invoice distribution and maintain customer contact information; support for Special Cash accounts.
