Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a Customer Accounts Specialist in Louisville, KY. You will own a portfolio of accounts from billing to cash receipt, contacting customers by phone and email to secure payments and arrange plans while maintaining strong partner relationships.

Responsibilities include proactive collections, resolving discrepancies, approving orders when appropriate, and collaborating with sales and branches to improve cash flow and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred with 3–5 years in Accounts Receivable (Collections).
• One-year Credit and B2B collection experience.
• Previous customer service and professional telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Proactively contact B2B customers, provide invoices, update POs, and obtain payments on past-due invoices.
• Process billing adjustments and resolve discrepancies with urgency.
• Release/hold orders, resolve unapplied payments, and manage possible suspensions due to non-payment.
• Maintain relationships with internal/external customers to improve cash flow.
• Assist in projects and process improvements related to collections.
