Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation seeks an experienced VDI engineer to advance our Azure Virtual Desktop environment. You will design and automate the deployment patterns, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and guide roadmaps for desktop virtualization across production and non-production environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience with AVD components, FSLogix, and enterprise RemoteApp solutions, with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and cross-team coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT experience.
• Hands-on design, build, configure, operate and support Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
• Experience with AVD components: host pools, session hosts, workspaces, app groups, desktop assignments, scaling, user access.
• Strong FSLogix experience: profile containers, storage integration, troubleshooting, performance.
• Experience building RemoteApp/AVD RemoteApp for enterprise apps.
• Automation of infrastructure and operations.
• ITIL v3 framework familiarity and adherence to standards.

Responsibilities

• Improve the overall VDI experience through automation and design.
• Provide guidance and roadmaps for desktop virtualization architectures.
• Collaborate with Virtualization Engineering, Infra Operations, and Infra Service Management.
• Design and build repeatable patterns to speed deployments for prod and non-prod environments.
• Transition knowledge to Infrastructure Operations.
• Work with Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp and AVD/RemotedApp to optimize app delivery.
