Job summary

CGS is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Developer to join our Information Technology team, leading a migration from Oracle to PostgreSQL and managing PostgreSQL environments on Linux. You will ensure high availability and performance of databases, collaborate with internal and federal customers, and apply Agile practices to deliver scalable data platforms in Azure and AWS.

This role requires US citizenship, a Bachelor’s degree, and 7+ years of PostgreSQL experience, with strong emphasis on backups,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• US citizenship required.
• 7+ years administering PostgreSQL in Linux.
• Experience setting up, monitoring and maintaining PostgreSQL instances.
• Experience migrating Oracle schema to Postgres with Ora2Pg.

Responsibilities

• Migrate from Oracle to PostgreSQL and manage DB environments.
• Ensure availability and performance of databases for scalability.
• Tune performance and assist developers as needed.
• Proactively monitor DB systems for security and uptime.
• Work within an Agile development environment.
