Job summary

CGS Government Services, LLC is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Developer to support a migration from Oracle to Postgres and manage Azure-based PostgreSQL environments. You will help ensure data solutions scale for federal customers and contribute to a growing analytics platform.

You will work in Linux environments, monitor performance, implement backup/DR processes, and participate in Agile development, delivering reliable, high-availability data services for critical systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• US Citizenship required.
• 7+ years of PostgreSQL administration in Linux environments.
• Experience migrating Oracle schemas, packages, views, and triggers to Postgres using Ora2Pg.
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery in PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Migrate from Oracle to PostgreSQL in Microsoft Azure Postgres environments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation using templates.
• Collaborate to translate technical objectives into requirements.
• Ensure database availability, performance, and scalability.
• Perform and assist with performance tuning and upgrades.
• Monitor databases for security, downtime, and patching within an Agile framework.
