Job summary

Wachter is seeking an Azure Platform Engineer for our Lenexa, Kansas office. You will design, build, and maintain the internal platform and self-service tooling used by engineering and IT to deploy and run applications across on-prem and Azure.

We value self-motivated individuals who can work independently, with long-term employment and competitive benefits. The role includes owning IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and platform observability, with on-call participation as part of the incident response

Qualifications

• Strong Azure experience across IaaS and PaaS in production.
• Proficient in Windows Server and Linux administration.
• Experience with IaC and Terraform.
• Experience Kubernetes in production (AKS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal platform and self-service tooling.
• Provision Windows Server and Linux hosts in on-prem and Azure.
• Build and operate Kubernetes clusters and networking.
• Own infrastructure-as-code modules and templates.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Implement observability and security/compliance.
• Document capabilities and runbooks; support teams.
• Participate in on-call incidents and post-incident improvements.
