Job summary

EY in the United States seeks an Assistant Director to own delivery of Azure Government cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities at scale. You will guide technical direction, enable delivery teams, and balance delivery, risk, and long-term platform health in government and security constrained environments.

You will develop team capability, grow engineering talent, and champion DevSecOps, automation, and operational excellence while collaborating with product, engineering, and leadership

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering with private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• Azure Administrator Associate and Azure Solutions Architect Expert certs.
• Hands-on IaC, CI/CD, and automation experience.
• Containerized workloads and orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong networking and cloud security fundamentals.
• Identity and access management experience.
• Experience with government security frameworks and Agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across multiple initiatives.
• Set and guide technical direction for Azure Government platforms.
• Establish and evolve DevSecOps practices and automation.
• Make informed trade-offs balancing speed, quality, and risk.
• Lead architecture and design reviews for standards and outcomes.
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management in delivery efforts.
• Influence stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership.
• Develop and grow engineering talent through coaching and delegation.
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
