Job summary

HCLTech is seeking an experienced Azure Elasticsearch Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of enterprise search on Microsoft Azure. You will architect highly available Elasticsearch environments, define sizing and shard strategies, and integrate with Azure data services to support search-driven enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Azure Elasticsearch cluster architecture and performance tuning.
• Expertise in defining shard strategies, node roles, and capacity planning for large-scale deployments.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js for data ingestion and pipelines.
• Deep knowledge of Elasticsearch Query DSL, aggregations, and relevance tuning.
• Experience designing robust index mappings, analyzers, and search schemas.
• Hands-on deployment and management of Elasticsearch on Azure services.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise-scale Elasticsearch solutions on Azure.
• Define cluster sizing, node roles, sharding, and capacity models.
• Develop and optimize index mappings, analyzers, tokenizers, and search schemas.
• Implement and tune Query DSL, aggregations, and relevance models.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and hot-shard remediation.
• Build data ingestion pipelines using Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Integrate Elasticsearch with Azure Event Hubs, Data Factory, Monitor, and Log Analytics.
• Collaborate with data teams to support search-driven enterprise use cases.
• Establish monitoring, scalability, reliability, and security practices.
