Job summary

Stryker is seeking a Principal Architect, EDT Data & Analytics to own the operational excellence, security, and reliability of the enterprise data platform on Azure. You will lead DevOps, IaC, and platform security across Databricks, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Key Vault, and Unity Catalog.

The role emphasizes automation, SRE practices, and collaboration with data teams to ensure SLAs and secure data ecosystems in a global enterprise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, data warehousing, data engineering, or enterprise data analytics platforms.
4+ years of experience managing platform security and applying Azure data service security practices in enterprise environments.
Hands-on architecture and engineering experience building enterprise data platforms, pipelines, and cloud solutions.
Experience with the Azure data stack, including Azure Databricks, Synapse, ADLS Gen2, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Key Vault, Unity Catalog, and Power BI.
Experience designing and managing Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Experience operating enterprise cloud data platforms: monitoring, incident management, reliability.
Experience defining enterprise architecture standards, reference architectures, design patterns, and architecture review processes.
Experience implementing data security, privacy, and access controls in regulated environments (GxP, HIPAA, PII/PHI).
Experience influencing technical design decisions across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD across environments.
Maintain high service availability through effective workflow management and pipeline operations.
Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform for consistent provisioning.
Manage platform security, RBAC, and secrets across Azure services and Unity Catalog.
Operate the platform with an SRE mindset: monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
Collaborate with Data Platform and Data Product teams to design scalable enterprise data solutions.
Engage with internal stakeholders to understand data needs and priorities.
Evaluate and manage vendor relationships in data and analytics domains.
