Job summary

Stryker seeks a Principal Architect for EDT Data & Analytics to own the Azure-based data platform’s reliability, security, and operations. You will drive DevOps automation, Terraform-based provisioning, and secure access across Databricks, Synapse, and Unity Catalog.

You will partner with Data Platform teams to design scalable data pipelines and ensure SLA-driven performance while engaging with vendors and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years in cloud engineering, data warehousing, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms.
• 4+ years managing platform security in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on architecture and engineering experience for enterprise data platforms.
• Experience with the Azure data stack and Power BI.
• Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps.
• Experience IaC using Terraform for cloud provisioning.
• Experience operationalizing enterprise cloud data platforms with reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD across environments.
• Maintain high service availability and smooth promotion processes.
• Implement and manage IaC for consistent provisioning across environments.
• Manage security controls across Azure data services and Unity Catalog.
• Operate platform with an SRE mindset including monitoring and incident management.
• Collaborate with Data Platform teams to design scalable data solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders and manage vendor relationships.
