Coconino County Sheriff's Office in Arizona is seeking a Deputy Recruit to begin training toward becoming a Deputy Sheriff. Under supervision, you will attend the AZPOST academy and gain practical, hands‑on law enforcement experience while learning to perform essential duties.

This entry position requires U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain AZPOST certification within one year. Background checks, drug screening and a valid Arizona driver’s license are required.

Qualificações

• Must be a U.S. citizen
• 21 years of age at time of appointment
• High school graduate or G.E.D.

Responsabilidades

• Attend AZPOST academy to learn deputy skills
• Attend indoor and outdoor training sessions
• Performs physical training
• Learn to drive and respond to emergencies
• Write clear, accurate reports
• Learn laws and use of firearms
• Perform related duties as assigned
