Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our State and Local Government business. You will own the technical engagements, define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs, and develop deep expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS and CloudFront.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and success around specific implementation projects.
• Define implementation architectures, respond to RFPs and develop expertise in AWS technologies.
• Lead architecture discussions to ensure cloud deployment readiness.
• Educate customers on AWS value and participate in deep architectural discussions.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service teams and support.
