Job summary

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Solutions Architect I to join a team serving State and Local Government and Higher Education customers across the mid-Atlantic region. You will apply technical fundamentals, communication skills, and a willingness to learn to help diverse organizations progress on their cloud journey.

You will design cloud architecture components, deliver demos, and collaborate with account teams and engineering groups to support engagements, sharing best practices with customers

Qualifications

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Node.js, C#, or C++.
• Experience with two or more of the following: networking fundamentals, security, storage or databases (relational or NoSQL), operating systems (Unix, Linux, or Windows).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver components of cloud architecture solutions for State and Local Government and Higher Education customers.
• Create proofs of concept, demos, and scripts to demonstrate cloud solutions.
• Develop capabilities as a trusted technical advisor by learning customer needs and discussing technical solutions.
• Partner with account teams, professional services, and AWS engineering groups to support engagements and communicate status clearly.
• Contribute to educating customers and internal teams with technical content and best practices.
