Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive customer success in State and Local Government by defining architectures and leading implementation projects on the AWS platform.

You will own technical engagements, respond to RFPs, and develop expertise across AWS services while collaborating with sales, partners, and customers to ensure successful cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives via AWS adoption.
• Build and migrate applications, software and services on the AWS platform as a core team member.
• Educate customers on AWS value and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployment.
• Lead training sessions (e.g., Dev Days, Immersion Days) to transfer knowledge to customers.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications and act as a technical liaison.
