Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable/Finance leader to join its FinOps/Order-to-Cash team. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of one of the most dynamic and fastest growing organizations at Amazon.
The candidate will be instrumental the developing, implementing and managing scalable automation strategies, technologies and process improvements to the Non-Payment Suspension program globally for AWS.
Key job responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for the AWS Non-Payment Suspension program (globally).
- Leader of policy and process changes; requiring the ability to effectively report up/out to AWS Sales, Finance and O2C leadership
- Effectively leverage data to develop and implement improved scalable technologies to mitigate risk, ensure controllership and streamline AWS notification, restriction and suspension processes.
- Partner with Net-0 (credit card) program lead to develop additional strategies to improve efficiency of managing customer experience while optimizing credit card payment routines (billing frequency, retries, account suspension, etc.).
- Partner with finance leadership to develop, consolidate and report operational goals for the AWS FinOps AR global teams.
- Partner with Customer Service and Finance Operations to define SOPs, automation and/or AI for credit customer portfolio
A day in the life
As you might imagine, suspending a customer's access to their AWS account is a difficult, but necessary. You must be able to effectively balance our Customer Obsession while mitigating risk to AWS and ensure that our millions of customer relationships are managed fairly/similarly.
You will be looking for new ways to ensure that we are communicating with external customers, internal stakeholders.
You will be developing scalable policies, processes and tools by partnering with our technologies teams to leverage RPA, machine learning and AI to to develop and implement new automated strategies to manage the Non-Payment Suspension.
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience
- 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
- 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
