System One is seeking an AWS Production Support Engineer to provide hands-on operational support for business-critical applications running in AWS within a large financial services environment, based onsite in Birmingham, AL.

The role focuses on monitoring health, investigating alerts, troubleshooting AWS services, and coordinating with development teams to restore service, while using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, ServiceNow, and AWS console.

Qualifications

2+ years hands-on AWS cloud operations and production support experience.
Experience navigating the AWS console to troubleshoot issues.
Experience with incident management and ServiceNow.
Ability to work in a 24x7 production environment.

Responsibilities

Provide production support for AWS-hosted enterprise applications.
Monitor applications and infrastructure using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, and related tools.
Investigate alerts through the AWS console, logs, and metrics to identify failure points.
Troubleshoot AWS services and AWS SNS-related events.
Manage incidents, operational tickets, and support queues through ServiceNow.
Coordinate resolution with developers, cloud teams, and SMEs.
Escalate complex incidents with complete findings and evidence.
Support weekday deployments, releases, and production change activities.
Participate in resiliency exercises and weekend activities.
Identify vulnerabilities and operational risks.
Develop knowledge of application functionality and ownership of recurring incidents.
Ensure incidents are progressed or resolved promptly.
Work within a 24x7 production support model.
