Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain mission-critical facilities, including standby diesel generators, switchgear, UPS, PDUs, chillers, cooling towers, and related systems.

The role supports 99.999% uptime and requires hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. You will perform daily rounds, monitor BMS/EPMS, assist in troubleshooting, rack installs, PM, and coordinate with contractors across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations.
• Ability to lift up to 39 pounds and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily rounds monitoring electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation to support change management.
• Coordinate with on-site contractors and vendors to ensure safe, compliant work.
