Job summary

DC Office of the Chief Financial Officer is hiring an AWS Connect Specialist to design, implement, and maintain its Amazon Connect-based contact center. The role covers contact flow design, dynamic routing, chatbots, KPI dashboards in Connect and QuickSight, outbound campaigns, and Lambda-based integrations.

This hybrid Washington, DC role targets DMV-area candidates and will move to 3 days on-site as the position progresses, with in-person interviews conducted as part of the process.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Amazon Connect CCaaS experience, not AWS infrastructure.
• Hands-on AWS CI/CD experience to deploy code and customize Connect services.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on with Amazon Connect and other AWS cloud services.
• Scripting and integrating AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB and S3.
• Understanding of CX strategies, VoIP, and system integration.
• Workforce optimization within the AWS Connect ecosystem.
• Bachelor's in CS/IT/Engineering or related; AWS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, document, and implement contact flows in AWS Connect for dynamic routing.
• Develop and deploy chatbots and conversational AI within Connect flows.
• Configure and maintain Amazon Connect instances, user and routing profiles.
• Build KPI dashboards and reports in Connect and QuickSight; review CloudWatch data.
• Manage outbound voice campaigns and customer surveys under regulations.
• Design integrations between AWS Connect and CRM/other systems using Lambda.
• Ensure compliance with district security controls and change/configuration management.
