AWS Cloud Platform Engineer — Build Secure IaC & CI/CD

Job summary

Appnovation is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Platform Engineer to build and own the platform's foundation across multiple AWS accounts. The role emphasizes secure IAM, networking, and reusable IaC modules with Terraform and/or AWS CDK, plus CI/CD pipelines for agent deployment.

You will work in a blended client-vendor environment, shipping consistent, auditable infrastructure and supporting secure, scalable runtime deployments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of cloud, platform or DevOps engineering experience in production AWS environments.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code skills with Terraform and/or AWS CDK/CloudFormation, including reusable modules.
• Deep understanding of AWS IAM, cross-account access, permissions boundaries and SCPs.
• Solid AWS networking knowledge: VPC design, routing, PrivateLink, DNS and endpoints.
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline/CodeBuild).
• Strong container skills: Docker, ECR, and deploying to ECS, EKS, Fargate or Lambda.
• Experience with secrets management (Secrets Manager, Parameter Store).

Responsibilities

• Design and stand up multi-account AWS foundations with guardrails and SCPs.
• Build secure VPC designs and private connectivity for agent workloads.
• Define IAM roles and least-privilege access for platform services.
• Create reusable Terraform and/or AWS CDK modules for cross-team use.
• Design and own CI/CD pipelines to build, test, and publish agent containers to ECR.
• Automate environment promotion from dev to prod with approvals and versioning.
• Configure and deploy agents to AgentCore Runtime with scaling and secrets handling.
• Develop starter repos and pipeline templates for consistent agent delivery.
• Incorporate security, logging, tagging and audits from the start with client teams.
