Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced IT operations professional in Ashburn, VA to serve as the first point of contact for production issues. You will provide phone and online support, performing triage, troubleshooting, and escalation with application teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Splunk; documenting best practices; applying DevSecOps principles; and guiding teammates to improve cloud competencies while meeting SLAs.

Qualifications

BS/BA degree and 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's with 6+ years.
Experience supporting 24x7x365 operations.
Experience with Jira, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
U.S. Citizen with DHS Full Background investigation or recent equivalent.
Experience in PostgreSQL, micro-services, monitoring, and SecDevOps.
Experience supporting applications in AWS and cloud security.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to collaborate in teams.

Responsibilities

Serve as the initial IT contact for field and application production problems.
Provide phone and online support; perform triage, troubleshooting and escalation.
Triage, troubleshoot, and remediate production issues with application teams.
Work with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, X-Ray, Splunk) to ensure availability.
Define and document best practices for maintenance and recovery protocols.
Apply DevSecOps principles and follow government security guidelines in AWS.
Mentor teammates to build cloud competencies and share knowledge.
Ensure performance, uptime, and SLAs; support after-hours/weekend on-call.
Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
