Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a mid-level Application Integration Engineer to deliver secure, production-ready integrations across legacy and AWS-hosted services for the GrantSolutions modernization program.

You will implement Java/Spring Boot RESTful APIs, configure cloud-based integrations, and connect modernized vendor capabilities with existing systems, in collaboration with architects and security teams in a regulated federal setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4–6 years in software engineering, API development, or data integration.
• Strong Java/Spring Boot and REST API skills.
• Experience with cloud-native AWS services (Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
• Experience integrating Java with Python; knowledge of security/auth (OAuth2/OIDC/SAML/JWT).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile development in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and support RESTful APIs and service integrations for legacy and cloud-native platforms.
• Configure AWS integration components and data exchanges between Java and Python apps.
• Collaborate with architects, security, and vendor teams to ensure platform standards and contracts.
• Implement asynchronous/synchronous integration patterns and event-driven processing.
• Ensure secure access with IAM, encryption, and secure API exposure patterns.
• Document interfaces, data mappings, and operational runbooks.
