Job summary

Guidehouse seeks a Lead Software Developer to provide hands-on technical leadership for modernizing a large GrantSolutions portfolio. You will guide a dev team, drive architecture, implement cloud-native services, and deliver AI-enabled capabilities while maintaining operations.

You will mentor engineers, conduct reviews, define interfaces, and work with architects, product owners, security, and federal stakeholders to deliver secure, maintainable software increments that align with data

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum of 8 years of progressive software development experience with leadership.
Experience leading technical design and delivery for a software development team.

Responsibilities

Lead technical direction for modernization of legacy applications and cloud-hosted services.
Guide a development team in enhancing legacy apps, building APIs, services, and AI capabilities.
Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews; enforce secure coding, testing, and documentation.
Mentor developers through pairing, coaching, and reviews to improve team capability.
Coordinate technical work across architecture, security, data, DevSecOps, vendors, and product teams.
Develop interoperable data layers and API contracts supporting legacy and modern systems.
Design versioned contracts and data flows to decouple consumers from legacy implementations.
Create AI evaluation suites and governance controls for model-assisted workflows.
Use CI/CD, IaC, automated security scanning, and operational dashboards.
