Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a Senior AWS Systems Engineer to support a large-scale federal cloud modernization initiative. The role requires hands-on cloud engineering to design, implement, and operate secure AWS environments in mission-critical settings.

The candidate will lead migration activities and develop architectures across networking, security, data, and operations. The position emphasizes multi-account AWS environments, compliance with federal standards, and collaboration with cybersecurity

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field.
8+ years designing and supporting complex enterprise IT systems.
5+ years hands-on AWS engineering and architecture experience.
Experience with multi-account AWS environments and governance.
Familiarity with NIST 800-53, RMF, ATO processes and security controls.

Responsibilities

Design, build, configure, and implement enterprise AWS environments.
Develop AWS infrastructure across networking, security, compute, storage, and monitoring.
Assess existing infrastructure and migration opportunities for modernization.
Lead implementation across hybrid and on-premises environments.
Define target-state cloud architectures and migration runbooks.
Provide hands-on AWS troubleshooting and production issue resolution.
