Job description

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest-growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including the public sector.

We are looking for an experienced AWS Enterprise Sales Account Manager focused on large, strategic accounts in the Retail and Consumer Products segment.

The candidate should be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute an account coverage plan and consistently deliver on revenue targets. The candidate should possess a strong sales and business background that enables them to engage at the CxO level, as well as intermediate to high technical knowledge to interact with software developers, IT architects, and other technical roles within our customers.

This role involves working with a small set of large customers, requiring a prescriptive and in-depth approach. Understanding complex business requirements and providing tailored solutions is crucial.

The AWS Enterprise Account Manager for Retail should be a strong analytical thinker who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and has excellent communication and presentation skills. The ability to collaborate with extended teams and coordinate efforts is essential for success.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Drive adoption in a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets;
  2. Develop and execute a strategic plan that maintains a robust sales pipeline, including opportunities in existing accounts and new business in untapped markets;
  3. Manage multiple accounts strategically;
  4. Create and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS;
  5. Analyze sales data to refine strategies;
  6. Accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement;
  7. Work with partners to manage joint selling opportunities;
  8. Assist customers in identifying use cases for AWS and best practices;
  9. Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.

- 8+ years of direct sales or business development experience in software, cloud, or SaaS markets, selling to C-level executives.

- 8+ years of experience in business development, partner development, sales, or alliances management.

- Experience in negotiating and closing large-scale technology deals.

- Proven ability to grow customer relationships and expand understanding of their business.

- Experience selling AI/ML solutions is preferred.
