Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communication - Internal and External
    • Coordinate with AWC Program Manager to assure the Agency With Choice Program is meeting Federal, State and Agency requirements
    • Assist with development of all Federal, State and Agency reporting requirements
    • Meet with Administrative Entities and Supports Coordinators in all 8 counties for the purpose of program development, problem solving and training
  • Program Development
    • Coordinate with Administrative Entities and Supports Coordinators in all counties to develop new and revise existing programs
    • Research and recommend changes to The Arc’s policies and procedures relating to the AWC program
    • Gain continuous knowledge of program and budget development using ODP Service Definitions and established rates
    • Track client utilization
    • Complete annual Managing Employer evaluations
    • Enter and maintain accurate data in the Billiyo database
    • Assist in processing SSP timesheets in Billiyo
    • Assist in entering encounters in Billiyo
    • Assist in reviewing the payroll report
    • Complete Managing Employer monthly progress reports if needed
    • Assist with annual mailings for training, surveys, etc.
    • Maintain organized filing system and Excel spreadsheet for all ME and SSP training sign-offs
    • Troubleshoot issues with Billiyo database with the developer
    • Train all ME’s and SSP’s on utilizing electronic business practices including Billiyo
  • Training
    • Provide necessary and requested trainings to Managing Employers and Support Service Professionals
    • Assist the Managing Employers through training and support with successful implementation of their contracted duties
    • Assist the Managing Employers with training, support, recruiting and termination of their employees
  • Enroll all Managing Employers and verify that all requirements are met to perform the role of an ME
  • Create, organize and update Managing Employer folders for new individuals participating in the Agency With Choice program
  • Update Managing Employers on client utilization is issues are noted
  • Collect updated paperwork from Managing Employers
  • Travel and work flexible hours
  • Obtain knowledge of the state HCSIS system and agency payroll system
  • Have knowledge of the State Incident Management reporting process
  • Participate in agency committees
  • Fill in for the other Program Specialist as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. In addition, the candidate must be competent in problem solving, interpersonal skills, verbal communication, written communication, planning/organizing, quality control, adaptability and dependability. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred or a high school diploma and five years of experience working directly with intellectually disabled individuals required. Salary commensurate with experience.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply understanding and problem-solving skills to carry out detailed written and verbal instructions. Ability to deal with problems in a constantly changing environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit and walk for long periods of time on a very frequent basis. Travel is required.
