Job summary

Waystone Health & Human Services is seeking a compassionate direct care worker to join a residential home in Haverhill, MA. The role includes supporting adults with activities of daily living, documentation, and transportation using wheelchair vans.

The position offers part-time hours with a $21.63 hourly rate, union membership with SEIU Local 509, and a benefits-eligible path. Training in MAP and CPR/First Aid is provided by Waystone.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Reading, writing and comprehension of English to follow care plans and document services.
• Experience providing training, case management and service delivery to adults with IDD in the community.
• MAP (Medication Administration Program) Certification; training offered by Waystone to acquire within 6 months.
• CPR/First Aid; training offered by Waystone to acquire within 3 months.
• Valid Driver’s License in good standing with at least 1 year of driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities such as hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, grooming and meal prep.
• Transport individuals to appointments and activities using wheelchair-accessible vans.
• Complete ISP to support individuals in goals and independence.
• Maintain daily logs and track behavioral data.
